AKP Phnom Penh, January 11, 2025 --

The Bank for Investment and Development of Cambodia (BIDC) will provide university scholarships for outstanding students, especially those from marginalised backgrounds.

Mr. Mao Sokhen, BIDC deputy director general and representative, highlighted the support when he was received by Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Secretary of State H.E. Dr. Chuon Chivin on Jan. 9.

The director general of BIDC also shared with H.E. Dr. Chuon Chivin the criteria and procedures for selecting the students for the scholarships.

BIDC will fully fund the four-year university study of 25 students who win the scholarships, he added.

H.E. Dr. Chuon Chivin thanked BIDC for the opportunity given to the students from poor households to allow them to secure their tertiary education.
