PM Urges for More Education System Reform
AKP Phnom Penh, February 19, 2025 --
Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has asked the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to continue collaborating with the private sector to further reform the education system through school curriculum development and update.
The Premier made the request while presiding over the graduation ceremony for some 2,550 students of Asia Euro University, at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh this morning.
In addition to the development and update of school curriculums, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet focused on additional attention to both technical skills, hard skills, and soft skills.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also reaffirmed the Royal Government’s continued attention to the reform and modernisation of the country’s education system.
Moreover, he encouraged the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training to provide qualification awards for those who have not attended or finished formal training school, but they have good talents.
The Cambodian education system includes early childhood education, primary education, general secondary education, higher education, teacher training, non-formal education.
