Ministry of Public Works Showcases Scenic Highlights of National Road 10 Project
AKP Phnom Penh, March 10, 2025 --
The construction of National Road 10, which connects three provinces—Koh Kong, Pursat, and Battambang (Veal Veng–Samlot-Koh Kong)—has reached 97.32 percent completion as of the first week of March 2025, according to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
Spokesperson Phan Rim shared an update on Mar. 10, highlighting key milestones achieved, including: road construction, bridges and elevated bridges, drainage systems, including culverts and roadside drainage, protective walls along steep slopes, traffic markings, road signs, speed limit signs, and kilometre markers, as well as boundary markers and other infrastructure elements.
National Road 10 is classified as a Grade III road, paved with a double-layer asphalt surface (DBST). The project spans 198.518 kilometres and has been under construction for 66 months, having started on Dec. 18, 2019. It is scheduled for completion in June 2025.
The newly built road passes through several stunning landscapes, including Promoy, O’ Som, Veal Veng, Stung Russey Chrum, and the highest bridge along the route at Stung Damnak Kbaun, adding to its scenic and strategic significance.
