Cambodia, Finland Discuss Cooperation Priorities

Cambodian lawmakers and the Ambassador of Finland have discussed development cooperation priorities.
The discussion took place between Cambodian lawmakers H.E. Chea Sophara and H.E. Suy Sem and H.E. Ms. Christiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Cambodia, in Phnom Penh on Mar. 13.
H.E. Ambassador emphasised his team's focused support on strengthening digital transformation and circular economic sectors.
She will work closely with the Ministry of Economy and Finance in promoting accountability and public finance and with the Ministry of Environment on solid waste collection and management.
She also pledged to attract more investors and tourists to Cambodia and promote people-to-people relations and Cambodia's human resources development.
H.E. Chea Sophara H.E. Ms. Christiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos on her new role in Cambodia and strongly supports her efforts to foster cooperation with the Cambodian government.
He spoke highly of the government of Finland's contribution to Cambodia's agriculture, demining assistance, anti-human trafficking, land registration, rural road rehabilitation, and the Khmer Rouge trials.
