A delegation from the World Bank conducted an official field visit to the Tramkak Advanced Agricultural Community, located in Takeo province on Mar. 27.

This visit was confirmed by H.E. Khim Finan, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

The World Bank has been a key development partner behind the Cambodia Agricultural Sector Diversification Project (CASDP), which recently provided over US$4 million in funding for roads, irrigation systems, and greenhouse facilities for local communities. This visit was part of the bank’s ongoing mission to support the implementation of the project.

The Tramkak Advanced Agricultural Community has also received an additional US$162,150 in grant funding from CASDP to expand investment capital.

Furthermore, the community benefited from a 5.5-kilometre rubber-paved road worth US$1,501,200.

Additionally, improvements to the local irrigation system have been made to expand cultivable land and enhance the water distribution pipeline system, benefiting 1,150 hectares of farmland. The estimated budget for these irrigation improvements is around US$2,380,000.
