Industry Ministry Partners with Lotus Academy to Advance Technology Education and Training
AKP Phnom Penh, March 28, 2025 --
The Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) and Lotus Academy Co., Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen technology education and training and contribute to Cambodia’s workforce development.
The signing ceremony, held here on Mar. 27, was witnessed by H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation.
The collaboration aims to equip Cambodia’s workforce with future-ready skills through reskilling, upskilling, and innovation-focused training programmes, said MISTI, adding that it supports national policy priorities including the Science, Technology & Innovation Roadmap 2030 and the National Research Agenda 2025.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to preparing Cambodia’s workforce for a digital economy. High-quality, industry-aligned training will enhance our innovation ecosystem and contribute to national development,” said H.E. Dr. Try Sophal, Director General of Science, Technology & Innovation.
Mr. Andy Ng, representing Lotus Academy, stated, “Our programmes in AI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Data Analytics, FinTech, and Green Technology will empower professionals to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.”
Under the MoU, Lotus Academy will deliver globally recognised training and certification programmes led by industry experts. Additional initiatives such as workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions will further bridge the skills gap and support Cambodia’s STI ambitions.
“Workforce development is an ongoing journey. Through long-term engagement, we aim to build a resilient, competitive workforce that drives Cambodia toward a knowledge-based economy,” added Mr. Andy Ng.
