Cambodia, Indonesia Join Hands to Empower Women and Girls

Cambodia and the Republic of Indonesia have highlighted a joint commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls.
H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Cambodian Minister of Women’s Affairs, and H.E. Santo Darmosumarto, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Cambodia, discussed the cooperation at the ministry on Mar. 26.
H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi updated the Indonesian Ambassador on Cambodia’s strategy to strengthen women's leadership and economic empowerment, promote the values and well-being of women and girls, and provide them legal protection.
H.E. Santo Darmosumarto expressed his interest in collaborating with the Ministry of Women's Affairs to connect women in small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship of the two countries.
He also underlined Indonesia’s support for Cambodia’s women’s education advancement.
Thanking H.E. Ambassador for the support, H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi encouraged exposure visits to learn about good practices on gender equality and women-led business operation in Indonesia.
