Samdech Techo Hun Sen Sends Sympathy to Burmese and Thai Top Leaders

Cambodia’s Acting Head of State, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, on Mar. 29 offered heartfelt condolences to top leaders of Myanmar and Thailand for the losses caused by the catastrophic earthquake in the two ASEAN countries.
“In this very difficult time, on behalf of the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences and sympathy to you and, through you, to the families and communities, the Government, and the people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar for these losses. May the deceased rest in peace, and I wish for the swift and complete recovery of those injured and affected by this terrible disaster,” Samdech Techo Hun Sen wrote to H.E. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Expressing his deep sympathy and condolences to H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra and through her to the bereaved families, the Royal Government, and the people of Thailand for these great losses, Samdech Techo Hun Sen is convinced that thanks to H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s leadership and the resilience of the Thai people, Thailand will fully recover from this terrible natural disaster very soon.
A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Bangkok, Thailand, and central Myanmar on the afternoon of Mar. 28, causing many casualties and damage to property and infrastructure.
