Cambodian PM Extends Condolences to Top Leaders of Myanmar and Thailand

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent condolence messages to H.E. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand.
In his separate messages to the two leaders on Mar. 29, the Cambodian Premier said he was profoundly saddened to hear about the devastating earthquake that struck central Myanmar on the afternoon of Mar. 28, 2025, resulting in the tragic loss of lives, injuries, and widespread damage to property.
On behalf of the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet extended his heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the Burmese and Thai leaders, especially to the bereaved families and all those affected by this unfortunate natural disaster.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, and we hope for the swift recovery of those injured,” he underlined.
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister reaffirmed that Cambodia stands in unwavering solidarity with the people of Myanmar and Thailand during this challenging time. He is convinced that, under the leadership of H.E. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the two countries will overcome this calamity and emerge stronger.
A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Bangkok, Thailand, and central Myanmar on Friday afternoon, causing many casualties and damage to property and infrastructure.
