The Commission for Khmer Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Martial Arts Book schedules to organise the 2nd Khmer Traditional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championships for Samdech Borvor Thipadei Award from Nov. 27 to 30.

The plan was revealed in a meeting to review the commission's work progress, held in Phnom Penh recently under the presidency of H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Permanent Deputy President of the Commission for Organising the Khmer MMA Championships.

According to H.E. Vath Chamroeun, the championships will include the competitions of Khmer mixed martial arts in all forms, both weapons and tactics, and the exhibitions with strict compliance with the competition principles.

The event will take place at the Morodok Tech National Stadium, and it will also feature programmes to attract the public, researchers, and students to visit and research, he added.

The organisation of the event is expected to promote Khmer martial arts and significantly inspire support from a large national movement.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun also called on MMA players from both affiliated and non-affiliated federations to register for the upcoming tournament.
