AKP Phnom Penh, May 29, 2025 --

Cambodia will host the 2nd Badminton Asia Southeast Asia Regional Championships 2025 from July 7 to 12.

The update was shared by Mr. Chhit Samean, a senior coach of the Cambodian National Badminton Athletes, adding that the tournament will take place at the Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh.

It expects the participation of athletes from host Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar, and Laos. 

The event will host both couple and single categories of the sport for three age groups, including U15, U17, and U23, said Mr. Chhit Samean.

The coach was positive that the Cambodian athletes will win more medals this year.

Cambodia won 14 medals from the 1st Badminton Asia Southeast Asia Regional Championships 2024.
