Cambodia Sends Four Judo Athletes to FISU World University Games 2025 in Germany
AKP Phnom Penh, June 24, 2025 --
Cambodia will send four national judo athletes, accompanied by a coach, to compete in the 32nd FISU World University Games 2025, scheduled to take place from July 16 to 27 in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany.
According to Cambodian Judo Coach Mr. Mar Vongvibol, the four athletes were selected based on their outstanding performance and have undergone intensive training over the past five months.
He emphasised that the upcoming competition is a crucial opportunity for Cambodian judo athletes to assess and enhance their technical abilities ahead of the 33rd SEA Games, which will be held in Thailand from Dec. 9 to 20, 2025.
The 32nd FISU World University Games, held every four years like the Olympic Games, are expected to attract participants from over 100 countries. Cambodia is preparing to send a 34-member delegation to compete in six sports: fencing, athletics, swimming, judo, badminton, and taekwondo WT.
