Cambodian Senate President Sends National Day Congratulations to Brunei Leaders
AKP Phnom Penh, February 20, 2026 -- Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent messages of congratulations to senior leaders of Brunei Darussalam on the occasion of the country’s National Day.
In separate letters addressed to His Majesty Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and to H.E. Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam, Samdech Techo Hun Sen conveyed his warmest congratulations on behalf of the Senate of Cambodia and in his own name.
The Senate President highlighted the close friendship and excellent bilateral relations between Cambodia and Brunei Darussalam, noting that ties between the two countries have continued to flourish over the years. He expressed confidence that the sustained commitment to enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation would contribute to a shared bright and prosperous future for both nations.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation between the legislative bodies of Cambodia and Brunei, stating that closer parliamentary collaboration would further reinforce existing bilateral relations and promote enduring prosperity.
In his messages, the Senate President extended his best wishes for the continued good health, happiness, and success of the Brunei leaders, as well as for the well-being and long-lasting prosperity of the people of Brunei Darussalam.
