ARDB Seeks Understanding of Sustainable Agricultural Investment in China
AKP Phnom Penh, March 06, 2026 -- H.E. Dr. Kao Thach, Royal Government Delegate in charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), led a delegation for a study tour of green transport and smart agriculture projects in China on Mar. 6.
During the visit, the ARDB delegation explored the smart agriculture initiative of Guangxi Yunjing Digital Technology Co., Ltd in Nanning, China, according to an ARDB statement.
The study tour aimed to examine practical approaches that could support sustainable agricultural development in Cambodia, particularly through environmentally friendly transport and the adoption of digital technologies in farming.
One key focus of the visit was the use of green transportation to move agricultural products. The delegation studied the potential use of motorcycles and electric vehicles to transport farm produce more efficiently while lowering costs and reducing environmental impact.
Another objective was to explore solutions for responding to climate change by promoting the use of smart and green technologies across the agricultural production chain, in line with the principles of sustainable development, ARDB stated.
The visit also focused on advances in smart agriculture, or agri-tech, including digital tools that could help improve productivity and resilience in the farming sector.
