Hungarian Legislative Secretary General Tours Cambodian Cultural Landmarks
AKP Phnom Penh, March 11, 2026 --
A delegation from the Hungarian National Assembly, led by its Director-General H.E. György Such, visited the Royal Palace and the National Museum of Cambodia in Phnom Penh on Wednesday to learn more about the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.
During the visit, the delegation expressed strong admiration for the elegance of traditional Khmer architecture showcased at the Royal Palace, noting its intricate decorative motifs and distinctive design that reflect the grandeur of Cambodia’s royal heritage.
At the National Museum, the visitors toured galleries displaying a wide range of valuable antiquities and sculptures from different historical periods. The exhibits, they noted, illustrate the long-standing civilisation and remarkable artistic achievements of the Khmer people.
The visit was part of a broader programme combining parliamentary administrative exchanges with cultural engagement, aimed at promoting cultural tourism and strengthening mutual understanding between the two nations through appreciation of Cambodia’s national heritage.
The presence of the high-level delegation at major historical sites also underscored Cambodia’s peace, stability and openness to welcoming international visitors seeking to explore the country’s diverse cultural traditions.
H.E. György Such is on an official visit to Cambodia from Mar. 9 to 15 to further strengthen cooperation between the legislative institutions of Hungary and Cambodia.
