World Vision Marks School Meals Day with Nutrition Drive for 316 Cambodian Schools
AKP Phnom Penh, March 13, 2026 --
On the occasion of International School Meals Day, World Vision International-Cambodia has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting child nutrition within a safe school environment, aiming to enhance students’ concentration, classroom participation, and overall healthy development.
Since 2017, the organisation has worked in close partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports to implement the initiative, a World Vision official confirmed on Thursday.
The programme currently provides daily nutritious meals to students in 316 primary schools across Kampong Thom and Kampong Chhnang provinces. It benefits a total of 100,640 children, including 54,606 girls.
School feeding programmes are recognised as a vital tool for improving school access, strengthening learning outcomes, and supporting local economies. The initiative represents a strategic investment in human capital, social protection, and long-term sustainable development.
