Interior Minister Rallies Border Forces with Aid, New Year Message in Preah Vihear
AKP Phnom Penh, April 06, 2026 --
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Abhisantibindit Sar Sokha visited frontline border police in Preah Vihear on Monday, delivering aid and a message of support from the country’s leadership ahead of the Khmer New Year.
Accompanied by his spouse, he met officers from the Region 4 border protection unit, conveying greetings from Acting Head of State Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Cambodian Red Cross President Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and the First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony, while reaffirming the Royal Government’s commitment to frontline forces safeguarding national sovereignty.
The delegation distributed protective equipment, including body armor and helmets, along with food, medicine and financial support, underscoring efforts to bolster morale and readiness during the holiday period.
H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha also inspected construction of temporary housing for veterans and retirees, part of a broader initiative to support former service members.
