Cambodia Extends Condolences to Indonesia over UNIFIL Incident
AKP Phnom Penh, April 10, 2026 --
Cambodia has extended its heartfelt condolences to Indonesia following the loss of life and injuries sustained by Indonesian peacekeepers serving under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
In a statement issued on April 10, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed sympathy to the Government and people of Indonesia over the casualties resulting from armed attacks on UNIFIL positions near Adchit Al Qusayr and Bani Hayyan on Mar. 29 and 30.
The Royal Government and people of Cambodia also conveyed their solidarity with all UNIFIL personnel from Indonesia and other contributing countries who continue to carry out their peacekeeping duties with dedication and bravery.
The statement further called on all parties to strictly adhere to their obligations under international law and to refrain from actions that could endanger the safety of peacekeepers, as well as civilians and civilian infrastructure.
