AKP Phnom Penh, February 04, 2025 -- 

H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), presided over a presentation workshop on Interlinkages and impacts of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investments on Net Zero Economy in ASEAN and Singapore on Feb. 3, 2025 at the Institute for Banking Studies (IBS), Phnom Penh.

The presentation was conducted by Prof. Shandre Mugan Thangavelu, Head of Jeffrey Cheah Institute for Southeast Asia at Malaysia’s Sunway University, with approximately 300 participants who are the NBC’s management, officials-staff and students.

The NBC commended that participation in the promotion of green finance principles has played a key role toward a net zero economy, where all stakeholders have joined hands to expedite the sustainable development. 

NBC noted that implementing the Green Principles is found to establish the positive impacts on corporate equity returns.
