Cambodia Seeks ADB Support for Digital Asset Regulation
AKP Phnom Penh, February 12, 2025-–
The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) is working with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to develop a regulatory framework for digital assets in the country.
During a virtual meeting on Feb. 11, SERC Director General H.E. Sou Socheat, along with Deputy Director General H.E. Dr. Vin Pheakdey, Head of the regulator’s Fintech working group, engaged with ADB representatives to discuss cooperation and support for Cambodia’s evolving digital asset market.
The discussion focused on building a structured regulatory framework to ensure the sector’s growth and stability. ADB’s involvement is expected to provide technical expertise and guidance to help Cambodia navigate the complexities of digital asset regulation.
