The fight against fraud requires intergovernmental cooperation to be effective, underlined Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, in a Facebook post tonight.

Recently, he wrote, the Kingdom of Thailand has made great efforts to combat fraud, and Cambodia would like to congratulate these successes. With Thailand's success, countries bordering Thailand, including Cambodia, have also made similar efforts to combat it.

“What is regrettable is that Thailand's success is portrayed by the media and some politicians as a failure of its neighbouring countries, including Cambodia,” Samdech Techo Hun Sen added.

“The crime is not over yet, and the fight against it continues, which requires intergovernmental cooperation to be effective,” the Cambodian Senate President concluded.
