The Cambodia Pancak Silat Federation will organise the 2025 National Pancak Silat Championships this weekend.

The plan was shared by Mr. Ou Dara, Secretary General of the Cambodia Pancak Silat Federation, adding that the competition aims to select the best players for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in December.

The event will take place at the Royal University of Phnom Penh on Mar. 7-8 and cover 15 disciplines, including nine fighting categories for men and six categories for women, said the secretary general.

The fighting categories for men are 48-51 kg, 51-54 kg, 54-57 kg, 57-60 kg, 60-63 kg, 63-66 kg, 66-69 kg, 69-72 kg, and 72-75 kg, while those for women include 40-43 kg, 43-46 kg, 46-49 kg, 49-52 kg, 52-55 kg, and 55-58 kg.

According to Mr. Ou Dara, Cambodian Pancak Silat athletes have recently won bronze medals at the World Pancak Silat Championships in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
