Cambodian Women’s National Football Team to Host Group G of AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026

The Cambodian women’s national football team has secured the right to host Group G in the qualifying round of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026, scheduled from June 23 to July 5, 2025, in Phnom Penh. The tournament’s final round will be held in Australia.
The Cambodian women’s national team was placed in Group G following the official draw conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Mar. 27 afternoon, at its headquarters in Malaysia. The results of the draw placed Cambodia alongside the national teams of the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Saudi Arabia.
A total of 34 teams are participating in this edition of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup, divided into eight groups. Groups A and B each consist of five teams, while Groups C, D, E, F, G, and H each have four teams.
It should be noted that the host nation, Cambodia, will play three matches in Group G: Match 1: Cambodia vs. Hong Kong (opening match) on June 29, 2025; Match 2: Cambodia vs. the Philippines on July 2, 2025 ; and Match 3: Cambodia vs. Saudi Arabia (final group-stage match) on July 5, 2025.
The top teams from each group will advance to the final tournament in Australia.
This marks a significant milestone for Cambodian women’s football as the country prepares to host a major continental qualifier for the first time.
