A delegation of foreign military attachés continued inspecting the situation along the Cambodian-Thai border in Preah Vihear province, including unexploded ordnance left behind after the Thai military attacks in 2025.
According to H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence, the visit took place on Thursday at 10:35 a.m., coordinated by the Ministry of National Defence. The delegation examined the remnants of unexploded ordnance as well as the implementation of the ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand that came into effect on Dec. 27, 2025.
Officials from the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) briefed the 12 foreign delegations on the types of unexploded ordnance and munitions discovered, noting that a total of 1,223 pieces were found in the Preah Vihear temple complex.
