AKP Phnom Penh, March 12, 2026 —
The Acting President of the Cambodian Senate and the Director General of the Hungarian National Assembly have praised the two countries' long-standing friendship and multifaceted cooperation, which have delivered mutual benefits, while also reviewing the progress of close inter-parliamentary relations marked by high-level exchanges and sustained dialogue.
During their meeting here on Mar. 11, H.E. Ouch Borith, Acting President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. György Such, Director General of the Hungarian National Assembly, discussed ways to further strengthen practical cooperation. This discussion was set against a backdrop of a rapidly evolving international landscape that presents growing challenges to peace, security, and development.
Both sides also exchanged views on expanding collaboration in areas of common interest, including diplomacy, the economy, energy, education, tourism, and people-to-people ties, as well as on regional issues of mutual concern.
Following the talks, H.E. Ouch Borith presided over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Secretariat-General of the Cambodian Senate and the Secretariat-General of the Hungarian National Assembly. The MoU aims to bolster institutional cooperation through the exchange of experiences, study visits, professional dialogue, and capacity-building activities.
The goal is to generate tangible benefits for both legislative bodies and contribute to the further strengthening of broader bilateral relations.
