AKP Phnom Penh, March 21, 2026 --
Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and his spouse have extended their warmest congratulations and best wishes to Cambodian Muslims and Muslim communities around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In a message marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the Prime Minister expressed his heartfelt wishes for peace, happiness, and prosperity to all Muslims celebrating the festival, which falls on Mar. 21 this year.
He also conveyed his deep appreciation to the Cambodian Muslims for their contributions to maintaining peace and social harmony, as well as their continued support for national development efforts. The Prime Minister highlighted the important role of the Muslim community in preserving national unity and religious harmony in Cambodia.
The message further acknowledged the longstanding commitment of Cambodian Muslims in supporting the Royal Government across all circumstances, including efforts to safeguard territorial integrity and promote socio-economic development.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also underscored Cambodia’s policy of religious harmony, which has been carefully rebuilt by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister, current President of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and President of the Senate, following the devastation of the Khmer Rouge regime, during which religious practices were abolished.
Concluding the message, the Prime Minister offered prayers for blessings, peace, and prosperity for Muslims in Cambodia and worldwide, and extended well wishes to those continuing voluntary fasting during the month of Shawwal.
