Cambodian PM Heads to Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Kazakhstan for Visits and 7th CICA Summit
AKP Phnom Penh, October 11, 2026 --
A high-level Cambodian delegation, led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, has departed for official and working visits to Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Kazakhstan, and the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), from Oct. 12 to 17.
The delegation was seen off at Techo International Airport this morning by Deputy Prime Ministers and other senior government officials.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during the 7th CICA Summit on Oct. 15, Prime Minister Hun Manet will exchange views with other leaders on the theme “Stronger CICA: Connectivity, Digitalisation and Sustainable Growth in Asia.” He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of other CICA member states on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.
On Oct. 16, the Cambodian Prime Minister will pay a working visit to Türkiye and meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to strengthen the longstanding relations between the two countries and exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern.
On Oct. 17, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet will travel to Astana, Kazakhstan, for official bilateral talks with the country's top leaders on promoting bilateral cooperation.
The visits are expected to provide fresh momentum for strengthening and expanding Cambodia's friendly relations and cooperation with Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Kazakhstan.
